EDII-MAFBIF, A Section 8 Company is an initiative of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Forest College and Research Institute with funding support from EDII (Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute) TN, Chennai to promote Entrepreneurship in agroforestry sector. EDII-MAFBIF, being the first of its kind in the country to extend its services and development catchment to all the districts of Tamil Nadu that can be manged effectively. EDII-MAFBIF is a support process that accelerates the successful development of sustainable business in Forest and Agroforestry landscapes.
EDII-MAFBIF aims in creating entrepreneurship skills in various stakeholders like professional graduates, Unemployed youth, Members of SHG, Farmers, Tribal Community, etc., in order to augument sustainable income and employment generation activities. EDII-MAFBIF diversifies income generation activities through technology adoption and commercialization. EDII-MAFBIF also help to validate, license, commercaiation the concept and technology already developed by any individual or group or a firm. EDII-MAFBIF aims to converge and link all stakeholders involved in agroforestry based value chain system through suitable partnership and collaboration.
EDII-MAFBIF involves in networking all wood based industries to facilitate skill development of incubatees and to sustain the market conditions.
